Chanukah *
A Brief Note on Dates
Some Messianic believers follow the Rabbinical calendar dates for the Feasts. Others follow the Karaite method of determining the Feast days by the first new moon after the barley has reached it’s ripeness in Israel (Aviv). This site will post both dates. No matter which calendar all Feast days begin at sunset on the day before the date listed and continue for 24 hours until sunset on the following day. For example if you are celebrating Feast of Trumpets on 9/23 then the Feast begins at sunset on 9/22 and ends sunset 9/23. This also means that labor is forbidden from sunset to sunset. To determine when the sun sets in your area I would suggest www.chabad.org .
Remaining Feast Dates for 2010 -2011
Agricultural (Karaite)
Purim: March 17, 2011
Rabbinical
Chanukah: December 2-9, 2010 Purim: March 20, 2011
The rest of the Feast dates for 2011 will be posted sometime in February or early March 2011
