On His Mind part 1 is an article written on the daily prayer times when we meet with the Eternal.
On His Mind Part 1The MONJA halacha for women praying at the appointed times is that we should! Of course during the day situations may arise where this is not possible, especially those of us with children. However, please remember that we are the first teachers of our children, and that they learn from the examples we set.
Because of the length of the prayer service, and because of our responsibilities in the home and with our children, it is permissible to pray the Modah Ani (Prayer upon rising), The Shema, and the Amidah, concluding with Messiah's prayer, in the morning; the Amidah ending in Messiah's prayer at noon, and the Shema and the Amidah ending in Messiah's prayer for the evening. If one of the prayers had to be missed it is preferable to miss the noon prayer.
Our heads need to be covered when praying!
It may be wise when just starting to pray at the appointed times, that you start out once a day praying the morning prayers, and then adding the other two one at a time. This will avoid becoming discouraged from jumping in too quickly and becoming overwhelmed.
